SLIDELL, La. — The Northshore community is mourning the death of local Realtor Yvette Catoire Sehon, whose passing has prompted an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, friends and members of the real-estate community.
The St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office confirmed that Sehon died in what authorities described as an apparent suicide.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating the death and emphasized that foul play is not suspected.
Authorities also urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information on social media while the investigation continues.

The sheriff’s office acknowledged that rumors had circulated online following the Realtor’s death.
Officials said there was no indication at the time that the incident involved foul play and asked members of the public to rely on information released by appropriate authorities rather than speculation.
